Home of the Tarblooder Band

P.R.I.D.E. is Everything

Welcome to Momient Music™, current home of the Glenville H. S. Tarblooder Band department. The department is located at the heart of the Glenville community in Cleveland, Ohio.

We are here to uplift the culture of music as well as the community. We take pride in our diversity, which allows us to create unique and unforgettable performances.

The variety of instruments that we will provide will keep our students engaged, as well as prepare them with the discipline needed inside and outside the band room.

OUR DIRECTOR’S | TWO | PILLARS

“The Music”

The Music is the paper to the writer, the canvas to the painter, even the calculator to the mathematician. The music has the ability to open the bleakest of imaginations and the power to calm the wildest mind and heart.

It is life’s natural version of self-care. It is life’s natural mood swing. Even if one falters, the music will always be there. The music will always stand.

“The Musician”

The Musician is the Keeper of the Key! The one who can unlock an entire gateway to the path of their choosing, simply based on the power of emotional intelligence.

The Musician can send someone to the highest of highs and in an instant, the lowest of lows by sharing the innermost parts of themselves as they tell heartfelt stories, sagas, and vivid adventures through their most powerful weapon; their instrument.

If the musician remains true to themselves, then the musician will be able to stand strong and protect the noblest of all the arts: Music.

THE MISSION

At Momient Music™, the mission is to nurture a lifelong passion for music by providing exceptional education that empowers students of all ages and abilities to achieve their musical potential.

We are committed to fostering creativity, discipline, and confidence through personalized instruction and a supportive, inspiring community.

THE VISION

This vision is designed to bring not only Glenville High School together, but the entire Glenville community as well. There are many students in this community who are very active and very talented.

This program is designed to give our students hope that their talents will not go to waste and that music can be a powerful tool to propel them to great opportunities once they graduate. Music education is beneficial to all students.

It provides enjoyment and opportunities to develop a variety of skills. Music study can improve a student’s self-discipline, thinking and listening skills, coordination, self-esteem, creativeness and self- expression.

Music provides opportunities for teamwork, instills pride and lifetime skills and a sense of personal accomplishment. Involvement in music stimulates brain activity and positively impacts students in other areas of academia.

Music is art, science, language and math. Music is kinesthetic, visual and auditory. Music study promotes the development of well-rounded successful individuals who positively contribute to society.

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE TARBLOODER BAND DEPARTMENT

A proper rehearsal atmosphere will be provided for the student musicians. Mr. Momient (Mr. M) will see that all aspects of the administration of the music department will conform to the policies of the school, the district, and Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA).

Students and parents will be provided with rehearsal dates, performance dates, and all other special dates well in advance of the scheduled events.
