Tarblooder Band Director Secures over 30K in Funding for Program

CLEVELAND, OHIO – APRIL 1, 2025 – This week, Tarblooder Band director, Micah Momient was awarded a grant worth $30,414.12 from the Get More Opportunities Fund (GMOF). This fund was sponsored by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and is offered twice per school year. Mr. Momient was the only person to apply for this fund throughout the entire school district during this round.

“We can finally add a more modern look to a great classic…the band,” exclaimed the second-year director and Alumnus of Glenville. “We can finally implement something that is only for Glenville and the Tarblooder Band.”

Momient says that this acquisition of funds will aid to adding much needed morale to the program by bringing in new instruments with adequate storage. There are also said to be new uniforms in the works to give the young bandsmen a greater reason to believe in their motto that P.R.I.D.E. is Everything.
